Preparing Future Generations through Transdisciplinary Learning

In 2018, SEAMEO Regional Centre for QITEP in Mathematics will conduct the 5th International Symposium on Mathematics Education and Innovation (ISMEI). The main objective of this symposium is to provide a forum for mathematics educators and researchers to review issues, exchange ideas and share experiences especially on innovation in mathematics education at all levels.

SEAQIM would like to invite mathematics teachers, mathematics teacher educators, researchers and policy makers to come and contribute in the 5th ISMEI.

In addition to the keynote speeches, the conference will include oral presentations, a workshop and poster presentations. The oral presentations will be of 15 to 20 minutes duration followed by a 5 minute discussion. Participants are invited to submit their presentations for consideration for inclusion in the conference proceedings.


We plan to submit selected papers of the 5th ISMEI 2018 to the Open Access Publisher: IOP Conference Series: Journal of Physics which normally will be indexed by Conference Proceedings Citation Index – Science (CPCI-S) Thomson Reuters, Web of Science, EI Compendex, and SCOPUS SciVerse. All papers published in IOP Conference Series are fully citable and upon publication will be free to download in perpetuity.


PUBLICATION LICENCE FOR OPEN ACCESS PROCEEDINGS PAPERS. IOP Conference Series operates a publishing licence, under which authors retain copyright of their papers and they no longer need to sign and submit copyright assignment forms.
